Para Rowing provides athletes with a physical, sensory or intellectual impairment the opportunity to be active on the water, get involved in a fun and friendly club environment, and participate in a variety of competitions. Para rowing is suitable for a wide range of disabilities, including (but not limited to) paraplegia, autism, visual impairment, blindness, cerebral palsy, amputee, intellectual impairment, spina bifida, Downs syndrome, and hearing impairment.
Delta Deas Rowing Club conducts a Para Rowing Program on the sheltered waters of Deas Slough at Deas Island Park. The equipment used is essentially the same as for able-bodied rowers, with adaptations to the equipment made as required.

Typically we would arrange an initial meeting, so that you can learn more about you and we can assess your requirements. As in all rowing programs, spaces are limited by the size of our fleet.
