Delta Deas Rowing Club Hosts First Regatta of the Season

On February 15, Delta Deas rowing club held their first regatta of the season. Under clear, sunny skies the club faced off against fellow rowers from Nicomekl Rowing Club of White Rock. A good time was had by all, although after a winter of little rowing due to the icy conditions, the rowers were challenged to put in their best times. Fittingly, the winning boat had a combination of rowers from both clubs, including DDRC club founder Lyle Gatley. In keeping with the regatta title, Race of Hearts, proceeds from the event were donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
